Pastor Patricia Ann White is a native of Fluvanna County, Virginia. She was married to the late William White for nearly 45 years. They have three children, seven grandchildren and several godchildren. Rev. White resides in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
She graduated from the Fluvanna County Public Schools. She is also a graduate of the Wilbur Waters School of Religions Inc. and Theological Seminar where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. For several years Rev. White taught Christian Education and Sunday school. Rev. White received a Certificate of completion at Doctor's Community Hospital for completing one unit of Clinical Pastoral Training and is currently working toward getting her license.
Pastor White is retired from the federal government after serving 38 years.
She grew up in Cloverdale Baptist Church of Bremo Bluff, Virginia. She was Secretary and Representative of the Sunday School and sang in the choir. After graduation she moved to Washington D.C. Rev. White attended several churches in the area and became a member of the New Fellowship Baptist Church on the very first day it was started. Under the direction of the former pastor Rev. Dr. George K. Horton. Rev. White served faithfully on the following boards: Church Treasurer, Director of the Women’s Ministry, Deaconess, Ministerial Staff, Financial Secretary and President of the Pastoral Care Ministry. Pastor White made history when she became the first female to be catechized and ordained as a Reverend at New Fellowship Baptist Church. She has also assisted and trained 9 candidates who were catechized and ordained as ministers.
Rev. White was appointed Assistant to the former Pastor at New Fellowship Baptist Church and was later elected Interim Pastor after Pastor Horton relocated to North Carolina. On February 8, 2016 Rev. White was elected as the third Pastor of New Fellowship Baptist Church.
Pastor White loves the Lord with all her heart and soul. As a team, Rev. White and her late husband loved to help others. In honor of her husband memory Rev. White continues to support the Hospital for Sick Children and are committed to the Club 1000 Feed the Children Program.
As she looks back over her life, she sees how the Lord has blessed her to teach and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives her great joy to be able to help and serve others. One of Rev. White’s favorite Scripture is Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, Self-control. Against such there is no law.”
Rev. White is known to always quote Psalms 34: 1, “I will bless the Lord at all times for His praise shall continually be in my mouth” for in that alone it brings encouragement to the soul.
